It's a chat that allows people to chat with a random stranger (who wants to chat with a random stranger).

What's the use of a random chat ?

It allows people to meet strangers. Modern ways of communication on the Internet often keep people into a group or a community (forum, IRC, MSN, email). A random chat allows the dialog between groups.
It's like meeting someone in a train.

Why is RandomChat different from ICQ's random chat ?

Unlike ICQ, RandomChat doesn't provide any data from the other people connecting to you. It just checks you can speak a language in common. And it doesn't let you choose your stranger.
In a word, here, it's a real random chat.

How to keep in contact with a random stranger ?

You have to exchange personnal data (email, ICQ, MSN, Jabber) during the chat. Otherwise, the contact is lost.

Is it allowed to advertise for other websites ?

The purpose of the chat has to be unrelated to any external website. You can request the BANNING of an IP or domain if you have been solicited this way during a random chat.

Is it a dating site ?

No. But it's not forbidden. It's simply not the main goal.

A random stranger.

Is it possible to random chat with more than one person ?
